How to participate
Five real ways to make yourself heard while Carlton's comprehensive plan is being written.
- 01
Read a section
Start with whatever section you care about most — housing, farmland, the lake shore, zoning. Every section has a short summary, key points, and open comments.
Browse sections - 02
Comment or submit input
On every plan section you can add a public comment or a structured submission (support / mixed / oppose with your reasoning). Everything is on the record.
Comment now - 03
Join a forum thread
Longer conversations belong in the community forum. Start a new thread or reply — categorize it to a plan section so the comp plan committee can find it.
Open the forum - 04
Show up to meetings
Public workshops, planning-board meetings, and open houses are where the real decisions get made. RSVP so we know how many chairs to set.
See meetings - 05
Contribute a document
Have a study, a map, or a past plan we should be citing? Upload it and it'll live in the document library alongside everything else.
Upload - 06
Ask questions
Not sure what a term means? Confused about the timeline? Every question you ask is one someone else needed the answer to.
